Type Locality and Naming

Along the village of Adamtash, Southwest Gissar. Kh.Kh. Mirkamalov, 1971 (51, p. 107).

Synonym: Adamta Ash Series, Адатмашская сер.


Lithology and Thickness

Marine and lagoon carbonate-clayey rocks.

Consists of (bottom to top): basal Gazdagan Fm, Chashmaobzan Fm, Dehkanabad Fm, Pachkamar Fm, and topmost Akrobat Fm.


Lithology Pattern: 
Shallow-marine marl


Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Tarkapchigay Fm

Upper contact

Overlain by the Tally-Khumon Gr (Toychisay Fm).

Regional extent
